The Slimmest 8000mAh Phone Is Here: POVA Curve 2 5G Now Available at PKR 99,999

For months, one question hung over the POVA’s return: could TECNO build a phone that looks good and lasts? With the POVA Curve 2 5G, launched in Pakistan on October 15, TECNO has now given its answer, and it is a bold one: a slim, curved phone with an 8000mAh battery, a 5G processor and a 144Hz display, priced at PKR 99,999.

It is the first POVA to arrive here in more than two years, and TECNO has built it around one bold idea: Beauty and Beast.

How slim is “slimmest”?

The POVA Curve 2 5G is 7.42mm thick and weighs 195g. TECNO’s claim is specific: it is the slimmest phone among those with an 8000mAh battery. That matters a lot, because big-battery phones usually come with a big body. For most buyers, the choice has been a slim phone that needs charging by the afternoon, or a long-lasting one that feels like a brick.

TECNO is trying to erase that choice. The curved body is made to turn heads and sit comfortably in the hand, without the weight people expect from a battery this size. The look is inspired by interstellar spaceships, with bold, flowing lines and a minimalist finish, and it comes in Melting Silver, Mystic Purple and Storm Titanium.

The battery: 8000mAh and what it means

Battery life is the complaint most Pakistani phone users know all too well, and it’s where the POVA Curve 2 5G aims hardest. TECNO says its 8000mAh battery means you only need to charge every two days, with more than 15 days of standby, and a TÜV certification for extended battery life of more than three days.

When you do need to plug in, 45W wired fast charging gets the phone from empty to full in 82 minutes. It also supports 10W reverse charging and bypass charging. TECNO says the battery is built to last, with 2,000 cycles, which it describes as six years of safe use.

The beast that keeps its cool

Under that slim body sits the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. TECNO has built it for how Pakistan really uses a phone: gaming, streaming, multitasking and staying connected.

For gamers, TECNO says the phone can hold 90 minutes of silky-smooth Free Fire at 60fps, helped by its Ice Cooling 3.0 system. And it’s built to last: TÜV Rheinland certified to stay lag-free for six years, with 2 Android version updates and 3 years of security patches on top.

A screen that wins the sunlight fight

The screen is a showpiece: a curved 144Hz AMOLED display with peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which TECNO says keeps it clear in direct sunlight. For gamers, touch is just as sharp, with a 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate and anti-mistouch so wet or oily hands won’t cost you a move.

Price and availability

The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G is available across Pakistan from October 15, in 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, at PKR 99,999. The Beauty turns heads, and the Beast keeps them coming back.
